Justice and Artificial Intelligence: the latest updates from the new AI Law – Andrea Puccio interviewed by Quotidiano Nazionale

The recent approval – at second reading – of the Artificial Intelligence Act by the Chamber of Deputies confirms the willingness to define clear rules on the use of AI, with particular attention to the most sensitive areas: healthcare, employment, justice and public administration.

The goal? To combine technological development with the protection of fundamental rights.

Andrea Puccio, interviewed by Quotidiano Nazionale, pointed out that:

This act keeps the same provisions for the judicial sector as the previous version of March 20, upholding that the application and interpretation of the law is the exclusive prerogative of judges as individuals. AI is recognized as a key player in supporting the justice system in organizational and administrative matters, with a view to simplifying and optimizing services for citizens”.
