Extradition is a cornerstone of international judicial cooperation, crucial and essential in the fight against transnational crime. This legal instrument, whose discipline is structured within a complex multilevel system, nevertheless stands on the delicate balance between the need to ensure the proper administration of justice in cross-border cases and the necessity to safeguard and guarantee the protection of fundamental human rights.
